Really fun to bring in some limited color for a change! Quick studies essential for court sketching and staying loose- but having a little time to build out on 20-minute poses with color- a nice luxury.

I had forgotten my charcoal drawing kit and eraser, so ended up using an old Ebony pencil. It was refreshing, actually. And the model, Fred, struck some dynamic fun-to-draw poses. Classic.

New sketches, new year 2014

 Tania was the model.. just such a joy to draw, graceful and defined. I strive to capture the fluidity of her movements in these 2-minute studies. Below are longer 20-40 minute poses.
