I cannot believe how much time I've let pass by without updating this blog. I get caught up with my other blog for the figure drawing group I facilitate weekly. Anyhow, here's a a few from this year so far.

More work

I've let too much time go by without updating my figure drawings- the weeks fly by and suddenly months too.

So, that said here's some recent work from the past few months.

March 22,2012 session at Nyack Center

Thoroughly enjoyed drawing this model, Barbara. fun, and great practice as always.
I drew with just a thin General's charcoal pencil, which forced me to be more linear.

March 15 session

I really enjoyed drawing this model, Doug.  His poses were great, and he had a nicely defined physique. It's so important for me to do this- stay fluid, visually 'stretched out'.

My sketches of our model, Lisa, last week. I still love my quick 2-minute studies above and beyond the longer ones. The quest is finding that freshness and movement and preserving it in my more detailed studies...
