It's been a while since I've posted- time to put up some recent sketches! I felt a little constrained in these. Time to get a big pad and really cut loose next week.
An excellent male model this last week at our drawing sessions. His poses were lyrical and inspiring to sketch. The practice felt good, essential to keeping the line fluid.
We had two models in our session this past week- more challenging than usual, and terrific practice!
Last week's session; the model, Tania, is absolutely a pleasure to draw. I'm pushing myself to capture gravity, proportion and form here. Anyone living nearby, come to the figure drawing sessions we hold in Nyack NY at the Nyack Center>

Tania is the kind of model you just can't draw badly. She's a phenomenal model and one of the group's favorites. Here's a few of my studies- series of 2 minute poses, top, and 20 minute poses, bottom.
